Mr.Manners

Today, before our play group, we went to Walmart. As usual, I got a few things on my list and a few things that were not! One being a big wheel for Samson. When I picked it out all he could see were the handlebars with a bunch of buttons, so he kept calling it a "motowcycew" (motorcycle). Here's our conversation in the car as I thought I missed the turn I needed to get to our play group:

Mommy-Oh shoot, oh wait, no, this is right.....
Samson- What happen mommy, you need help?
Mommy- I figured it out, but thanks for asking!
Samson- Tank YOU Mommy for buying me a motowcycew!
Mommy- Wow, thank you Samson for saying thank you, that's so nice to use your manners! It makes mommy so happy!
Samson- Tank you mommy, I so happy you buy motowcycew.....

It went back and forth a few more times before we stopped thanking each other! What a cute kid I have! :)

Goodbye Mortensens, (sniffle sniffle)

Our good friends, Jaimes, Sara, Luke (Samson best buddy) and Baby Bella are moving to Utah this week for work. While we are so sad they are leaving, we're also excited for them (or at least saying we are!) These are some pics (mostly of the kids) from our last Sunday dinner potluck. We will miss the whole gang getting together, especially the kids, they are so fun to watch interact with each other!

A Poopy Poll

Samson was being awfully quiet in his play room, so I went to check on him. I smelled that something was up right when I walked in!

Mommy: Samson, did you go poopoo in your underwear?
Samson: (he just looked at me, paused, turned, and ran away to try and hide in his tent)
Mommy: Saaamsoon, do you have poopoo's in your underwear??
Samson: NO!! No poopoos!!

Hhmm.... what do you think???????

A is for Ant

Samson is very good at recognizing letters, so we started to do activities with the letter to help him even more. One of his favorite things to do is to paint. Later that day we were coloring with sidewalk chalk outside and he found two ants walking near his drawings. Obviously they were there to check out his art work, so to help them out he drew more art dangerously close to them (I was afraid he was going to smash them, and then I'd have to explain what happened) and he'd said "there you go".

Dats Butaful

We've been having many interesting/funny potty training experiences. Last night Samson went poopoo in his underwear, again. He was watching Sal as he dumped it from his underwear into the toilet and said "Wow, dat's butaful!"

I can think of a lot of words to describe a chore like that, and beautiful isn't one of them! :)

You Hear Me

I was asking Samson not to do something, and he was acting like he couldn't hear me.

Mommy- "Samson, please don't do that"
Samson- "What?"
Mommy- "Don't do that Samson"
Samson- "What?"
(He's like 3 feet away from he so I know he can totally hear me)
Mommy- "You heard me"

A few minutes later Samson said something to me and I couldn't hear him.
Mommy- "What was that, Samson?"
Samson- "You hear me!"

This child is to smart for MY own good!!
