Oceanside Beach

Today we went to Oceanside Beach with our friends Kerby and Cole. Samson and Cole love playing together, and they're usually cracking Kerby and I up. Such funny boys! It was overcast today, so I was worried about Seri being warm enough that I didn't even think about her getting burnt. So I didn't put her sun hat on and now her little cheeks are all red, poor baby!! I also forgot to put sunscreen on the fronts of my legs, which now feel like they're on FIRE!!

Butterfly Booger

This morning, when I heard Samson talking to himself, I went in his room to get him up. Right when I walked in, Samson pointed his finger at me and said "I found a boowgew mama". And he was right, he had a huge booger on the tip of his finger, and an even bigger one hanging out of his nose! I got some toilet paper and wiped off both boogers, and then of course he wanted to see them. I opened up the toilet paper to show him they were yucky, but apparently he saw something different as he said "Oohhhh, wow, it'sa buttewfly!" (booger was stuck to both sides of toilet paper when I opened it up) LOL!! So gross!!!

I'm a Jerk

A couple weeks ago Samson did 3 paintings on construction paper that he was very proud of. They sat on the kitchen table for a few days, then went to the island for a few days, then they got stacked together and mixed with the mail for a few more days. After they had been rotating around the kitchen for over a week I decided to throw them out. When Samson woke up from his nap, for reasons I can't explain, he went right over to the garbage can and opened the lid. Right on top were his paintings. I held my breath, waiting to see what was going to happen. He looked up at me with wet eyes and that famous glare of his and said "you don't put Sumsum's papews in da gawbage! It's yucky! You in big Twouble! Get'em outta dere wight now!" Needless to say, I felt like the biggest JERK ever!!!!!!!!!

The next morning while I was getting him dressed he brought it up again (this time not upset, but just reminding me what I had done) "don't fwow Sumsum's papews in da gawbage, otay?! It's yuckies."

Lesson learned - next time I throw away his "art work" I'll bring it out to the garage and shred it, then he'll never know! I'm a good mommy..............................

Seri Rolls Over!

Seri, who will be 3 months on the 21st, rolled over for the first time yesterday! She was having her tummy time, which she was not to happy about, and from all her squirming she rolled over. It surprised her just as much as it surprised me. Or more like scared he crap out of her. Her arms and legs flung out (always reminds me what a cat looks like when you drop them, on accident of course! hehe) and she started bawling. Poor little thing. She rolled over again today during tummy time, this time a little less frightened by it. She's such a big girl...............

Making "Gwoves"

A Teenager at 2?!!

Samson is already VERY sassy (not sure where he gets it from). He's already been known to slam doors when angry, tell us to "get outa hewe", and when asked to do something he doesn't want to do he'll say "NO! I'ma famous wace caw!" or "This is a one man show!" (Thank you CARS) (As neither of these really make sense, the important/annoying part is that he has the tone down pat). Anyways, today for lunch he had chicken nuggets, grapes and strawberries. He loves fruit, so that was eaten first. And then here was our conversation:
S- "Tan I have mowe gwapes pease?"
M- "Eat your nuggets first, okay."
S- "Okay, okay, OKAY!!" (said with great annoyance) (totally not warranted)
M- "Excuse me, please remember to use your manners and talk nicely."
S- "I want mowe gwapes and stwawberries!"
M- "Eat your processed, fake meat, and then you can have more fruit!" (little terd)

Then I started thinking...If he already acts like this, how's it gonna be when he's a teen?! I've heard older mothers/grandparents say before that they'd take a girl til about age 10 and then switch to a boy for preteen/teen years. I started wondering....how am I going to handle acting up when they're much older and bigger? So here are my thoughts.....When Seri is about 11 or 12 yrs. old I'll start taking steroids and lifting weights, so then when she and Samson are full on teens I can totally take them. Then, when they're about 15-ish I'll have the largest custom crib you've ever seen made, complete with a crib tent, of course! If they act up, I'll use my grossly huge muscles to lift them over my head and toss them into the crib and zip it up so they can't get out, and they'll be in a huge timeout. And if I ever catch either of them sneaking out, you better bet they'll be sleeping in this crib every night! If it works now, why not later?????
